Editor`s Review:

The MBNA Rewards Platinum Plus® Mastercard® is an exceptional rewards card that is free of charge and can be acquired by any Canadian resident who is of age. Of course, this is not a card useful for paying off debt or balance transfers, as it offers a 22.99% interest rate for balance transfers and 24.99% for cash advances.

However, this card gives you 1 point for every $1 spent on eligible purchases. As an onboarding bonus, you can get 10,000 extra points, plus 4X points for $1 spent on restaurant, grocery and gas purchases. You can earn 4x points during the first 90 days and 2x points after that, capped at $5,000 for each category.

Because this credit card comes with no annual fee, it is an excellent choice for anyone who wants to make extra points and use them part of the MBNA rewards program. You can use these points to make purchases on the MBNA own's catalogue, redeem points and transform them into cash, or simply use them to donate to charities.

The MBNA Rewards Platinum Plus® Mastercard® also comes with worldwide coverage, emergency services, lost luggage assistance, purchase assurance, and extended warranty.
