Responsibilities:

• Design, write, modify, integrate, and test code for our applications (Write HTML, CSS, and JS like second nature)
• Build, maintain and expand features of our web-based applications while understanding our business needs
• Write and optimize code that performs well with a mobile-first design philosophy
• Programs, tests, and implements new and existing web applications
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing solutions and resolve them in a timely and accurate manner
• Understand and implement software quality assurance principles
• Keep up to date with best practices for maintaining a secure website.
• Recommend improvements to applications and systems to improve the experience. Learn and implement new technologies
• Build third-party APIs

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or comparable experience
• 5+ years of experience with a proven track record of building consumer web applications or services.
• Expert programming skills developing using client-side JavaScript and HTML/CSS.
• Experience in building public and internal REST APIs
• Expert level of SQL scripting and querying capabilities.
• Experience in LINUX and/or UNIX environments
• Experience working with database technology such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch ,Oracle, MongoDB, etc.
• Have a strong understanding of code versioning tools, such as Bitbucket/Git
• Knowledge with design tools like Sketch, Figma and Invision
• You have a technical and growth mindset with great attention to detail
• You take pride in what you create and can independently deliver code that meets high-quality standards.
• You understand our end-user and how the backend of our application impacts their lives.
